RIDING MY WAY

On Demand, for Tapas Bhai,

A trip ahead, and so many plans for it. Well if it's a longer one then obviously it accompanies with better pre plans. But do the plans always meet the end.

Definitely not always. Such a trip I had last time, returning from home town to work place. So it's almost 315km to cover by bike. Plans made days before and definitely need a company to complete all the way. Friends are always ready to support you that's why they are your buddies. On standby always.

Puja vacation went well having lots of fun with family, friends & relatives. The lively idols of goddess Durga along with ornamental pandals were so complimentary along with rush roads. Food was really delicious and so was the environment. Time arrived to get back to work and the plan to complete a long way came lively.

As decided before an early morning exit was preferred. With lots of enthusiasm I went to bed. Alarm clock always makes me wake up in time and this time too it didn't fail to complete it's duty. Alarm woke me up with a surprising sms. It read;
"Ajaa nka deha kharap.
Mu mamu gharaku jauchi.
Sorry. Jaiparuni."
(unable to go due to sudden illness of grandfather)

This was really heart breaking and you can't even blame anyone. Moreover making someone else to give company in a long journey is another difficult task. After few calls I ended up harassing and postponing my journey by 1day. Well, passing a day in hometown is not that bad at all provided you mustn't having any other work responsibility. But it's that call of duty which can't make you rest peacefully. After a long day failed approach for a company I made out to do it by myself all alone.
Confidence, indeed is a great thing which forces you forward and I finally managed gathering this in myself. A light dinner and I was all set to cover this longest ever distance by myself.

A quick snap of guavas
Once again my digital alarm did it's work properly by waking  me up quite early. Leaving my bed with lots of curiosity, I folded up everything and finished quickly to have tea and cookies. It was sharp 5.30 in the dawn I left home.  The cooling breeze of approaching winter was feeling too soothing with the chirping of birds asking people to start their day. As I started the journey I set the destination on my mobile map. GPS is that technology which helps me to get directions without any hassle. Thanks to my smartphone, I love it for it's apps. Powered by HERE Drive+ the wheels started rolling with lots of enthusiasm, hope, and curiosity. It's always a feel good experience to travel unknown ways. After a few minutes of start, I reached those feel good ways. While passing by the Dhenkanala road, I got a company of a stranger by giving him a lift to his office. After covering 80km I took a stop at Kamakhyanagar for a  relaxing cup of tea. Everything going well. Beautiful forest and isolated roads gave a feeling of joy, happiness and a little discomfort too. Driven by an unexpressed suppressed fear I went ahead. A fear of breakdown or puncture, which  might be so terrible. Actually it was that excitement which was overpowering my fear and I was enjoying it. Roads along side of river and green hills were too drawing my attention and forcing me to stop and enjoy a bit, but the miles way long road was overpowered and made me keep riding. Meanwhile on my way met with an old woman who was struggling for her guavas to be sold. I thought of having an another halt, and grabbed a few with my third stop on the way. Took some guavas and killed some time by taking snaps as a memo.

Feeling bored! I took the mobile and plugged in my earphone. There are enough music to refresh myself. I played my Greens playlist and ignited my bike again. Then restlessly I rode enjoying my music and covered 200km while I  rested a while. The last half of my journey was yet to finish and I made myself ready again.

The nearer I went, the painful it began. The familiar roads seems not to finish anymore. Covered a lot and yet another 70km to go. It was almost 2.30 in the afternoon and the call of lunch was really unavoidable. Having my tasteless lunch was like an another burden. Anyway, finished it and started the unstoppable journey again. Completing those ways were like fighting against own tiredness and to keep going. My new bike was running well and with all my fainting energy I finally reached my destination by 3.30pm. It was exactly 314.8km as per the analogue meter of my two wheeler. Now I got to know the experience of covering 315km by bike. More Confident and too much tired. I had a bath immediately and took a short nap on my most loving and familiar bed. By evening when woke up I realized having fever. Just a  cup of tea and a pain killer after dinner made me fit again.

This unexpected journey filled me with at most confidence to complete tough journey of life. Though a few people consider it as a daring act but it built a new level of strength within me. Thanking everyone for the support and expecting the same in coming days.

Hope the next long journey to be a romantic one... LOL

KIDDY DAYS

We could never have loved the earth so well if we had had no childhood in it.                                                                                                    - George Eliot

The moment, I think of my childhood my memory part gets filled with numerous flash backs. Such kiddopanti and craziness I can never do these days even if I would love to do.

Well, let me recollect quickly what my parents say about my infancy. Yes! What about a pony tail on my head these days ! But there were times I was having long hairs and a ribbon tied to it but the silly thing is that I used to demand a red ribbon. Have you ever heard of tea and rice as snacks. Yes ! I've tasted it in my infancy. When others were having snacks I had chosen rice as my snacks and please don't try it now, might be disgusting. That was the time when happiness was wearing a balloon or cartoon printed dress along with red peep peep sounding shoes, going out with father on a bicycle ride, fulfilling demands by crying.

So far as craziness, I have stored in my memory, it all started with siblings. Most often quarrels with sister. Quarrel for silly things, crazy deeds and sometimes for no reasons too and that ends only when elders interfere. Making faces to each other, hiding things, scolding, trolling, poking, the worst one when parents start supporting the opponent. How can you forget sticking your chew gum here and there and using it as a brilliant tool of your engineering. The awkward moment when someone asks to give chocolates only when you finish counting.

You count, read, recite poems and start learning when gradually you start making friends around. Now we are a gang. Gang of kiddies formed. Playing outdoor started. Well our gang never misses any game, say it cricket, football, hockey, kabbadi all with locally made bats, balls, sticks, that all country kids can better understand. Now watching your favorite series like cartoons, Shaktiman and cricket is much entertaining sitting together with gangs. School classes are now funny, a place to gather and enjoying. Going river and playing there having dips is too much fun that it sometimes attract elders envy and we are bitten several times. Festivals, fairs and holidays took us to cloud9. Guests in home only meant chocolates and sweets to us.

Time for the real school days, exams, competition, tuition, homework, projects, punishments and all. Homework the burden, teachers seems to be enemies, exams the most painful. Amidst all these there was fun still existed. The hot summer vacation filled with stealing mangoes, cucumber. Wrapping up in one shawl in chilling winter morning tuition classes. Going school under one umbrella in rainy days. Waiting for the last bell to ring in schools, making mimicry of teachers, flying paper rockets, start gossiping in classes as much as possible, enjoying the funny expressions of buddies while bitten by teachers, begging friends their bicycle for a ride through the country roads, making action plans to visit hill side during holidays. Going on fishing after school is too much exciting. Competition not only in study but also in flying kites in which I always fail. Flying kites that addiction for which we never listen to anyone. In Puja vacation how elders took us to a pandal visit, showing one idol many times and making us count the same several times. Taking a window seat in trains and buses was like being in heaven. Huh ! Countless memories hunting me.

Time goes on and so us too. We grow up and make ourselves ready for the tough competition and challenges to face. With time the Kiddy Days fade away and we seldom make fun. Being childish is the funniest thing ever.

All That Life

LIFE, if I sum it up  in a phrase I can say, "Life goes on". Whatever happens, if you are alive you have to make it going amidst all obstacles and awkward situations. Just think of a hard time you were undergoing. Say for instance the night before examination you were preparing for, you used to consider that night as one of the tough times to pass and all the time you think of listening to the bell that confirms the exam finished. Next time you completed it and now when you remember that of your preparation, you will end up with a fainting smile on your face. You have made it a success, you cheer up yourself if not you just learn a lesson to move forward. Similarly think of the super cyclone in 1999 some Villages were destroyed completely leaving a few people to live and those lives are still alive, going.

Life never stops surprising you. It's filled with qualities like confidence, hope, expectations, greed, and emotions that make it happen every time. "Expectations always lead to disappoints" a well said and true too, but I feel it contraindicating  as  expectations and aspirations are what forces you to move forward. One can't be always satisfied with what they have. Our expectations and fulfillment' are directly proportional to each other, endless and infinite leading to greed.

Yes ! Greed is something that makes you choose a wrong way often. Here starts all the mess. People can go to any extent to satisfy their thirst.
Poor people are seen to take others help often. In a time of need they rely on others than themselves and there are so wise and smart people who never miss a chance to play with them. So called godmen and godwomen have been seen several times making people fool.
A human being without emotions is considered as a beast or abnormal. Life is full of emotions due to which we are tied to each other. The bonding of family, friends, relative, colleagues  are so defined and our emotional feelings do vary on every other cases.

To conclude, Life is too short to perform. Live it to the fullest, till the end. Whatever happenings are there, it will move on. Put aside everything and cheer up your life.

ALL THAT LIFE goes on...
